The Moon Temple (ムーン・テンプル, Mūn Tenpuru) is the site for the King of Distortion Incident, covered in Boogiepop Overdrive: The King of Distortion. It is a building created by Kyouichirou Teratsuki, using his company, MCE's funds. It was built according to Teratsuki's plans, who plotted to warn the MPLS of the danger of the Towa Organization before being killed. In his original scheme, of the people trapped inside the Temple, somebody, presumably an MPLS, would manage to find his hidden message (in the end, Shirou Tanaka and Kentarou Habara managed to find it).
Well after his death, however, the King of Distortion, intercepted his idea, and executed his experiment to "turn everything into gold" within the enclosed space of the Temple. Laying everyone inside to sleep, he manifested himself in their dreams and forced them to face their most repressed fears and regrets.
Aside from the Moon Temple incident, another minor incident took place at the construction site of the Moon Temple during the events of Boogiepop in the Mirror: Pandora, in which a drug deal was supposed to take place, but it was prevented by the interference of the Gang of Six.
